My Name is Shay La’Vee
Born on Hallows Eve my journey began with a witchy white streak birthmark gracing the front of my hair, setting me apart in a world that often craved conformity. To navigate this uniqueness, I embraced humor early on, becoming the class clown to forge connections through laughter rather than be subjected to it.
Yet, my distinctiveness goes beyond appearances—it manifests in the vibrant edge and contrast that define my artistic creations. I consider myself to be a photographer unbounded by limits, one who takes pride in crafting stories that captivate and linger in the hearts of those who behold them. I reject the confines of traditional categories; to me, every subject, whether human, landscape, or even a delicate flower, holds a story worth telling.
I am an artist who revels the beauty of contrasts. Whether it's juxtaposing diverse subjects side by side or finding comfort in the unfamiliar, I strive to create work that transcends the ordinary.
In the truest sense, I transcend the role of a mere photographer; I am, at my core, a storyteller. Complementing this narrative journey is my newly finished self-published opus, a 176 page fine art photography coffee table book entitled "L O U D." Within its pages reside not just my best contrasting pieces but some of the very stories that paved the way for each captured moment.
